From 1 July, all IDS JMK tickets are also available in electronic form
In the public transport module, in the Buy an IDS JMK ticket section, you can purchase a ticket of any type of duration, number or range of zones of your choice, as well as section tickets. In all vehicles in the region, there are new on-board units with a bank card reader (or a train guide with a card reader), which enable inspection in the same way as it is performed by inspectors in the Brno public transport.
Electronic single tickets in public transport vehicles
Within Brno public transport company vehicles, validators for the purchase of single e-tickets using bank card are available. You can learn more about the operation of this system on the "Beep and go" pages. Tickets purchased in this way are tied to the used bank card. If you use the card assigned to your Brno iD account to purchase such tickets, you will find these tickets and their invoice in the My Tickets section. If you use (for the system) a new unknown card, a so-called auxiliary user account will be created for it, which you can log in to either with your bank card details or with the bank transaction code with which you paid for these tickets (both of these login methods can be found at the bottom of the login page). If you want, you can easily move the carrier from the auxiliary account to your main account in the e-shop, including related tickets, or if you do not yet have an account, you can easily transform your auxiliary account into standard account.
Electronization of student non-transferable public transport tickets for zones 100+101
From 1 January 2021, students public transport tickets for zones 100 + 101 in paper form will no longer be sold within IDS JMK area. They will continue to be available only in electronic form. To prove the discount entitlement, online verification of student status can be used via selected schools, or via valid ISIC card data. Everything can be done from home, from creating an account, filling in its data, through its verification (use the request for online verification of personal data) to starting the online verification of student status. From 23 November 2020, we are now offering the option of setting up an ISIC student card at the Brno public transport company sale place at Novobranská 18. To issue a one-time ISIC card, you will need: printed color photo (2.8 x 3.4 cm) + proof of identity + a completed card application with the stamp of your school (the paper application can also be picked up free of charge at Novobranská 18) and a fee of CZK 350. For students under the age of 15, the student's legal representative must apply for ISIC on behalf of the student.
Possibility to use virtualized bank cards as carriers for public transport tickets
More people have become accustomed to using virtualized bank cards (such as Google Pay, Apple Pay, etc.) Of course, these virtualized bank cards can serve as a carrier for your public transport tickets, in the same way as physical bank cards. You can either have a virtualized bank card added to your account at any Brno public transport company verification place. Or you can find here an explanation and description of how to add a virtualized bank card to your account as a new carrier from home.

At present, the Brno Zoo is temporarily closed to the public by a government decision, but when it opens its gates again, you can use full electronic access to purchase various types of tickets and multi-tickets. It is possible to purchase electronic tickets of all types via the Zoo module. You can also buy many variants of electronic gift vouchers (in PDF format) for entries to the Zoo with a validity of 1 year. And you can even buy a yearly non-transferable ticket for unlimited entry to the Zoo and have use as carrier your bank card (in the same way as with public transport ticket).
